Shillong (Meghalaya), June 10 : Sonam Raghuvanshi, the prime accused in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi during their honeymoon in Meghalaya, is being brought to Shillong on a 72-hour transit remand. After being taken into custody in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, Sonam was taken to Patna and will be flown to Kolkata and then Guwahati. From Guwahati, she will be escorted by road to Shillong for further investigation.
During her journey from Ghazipur to Patna, Sonam reportedly remained silent, refused food, and complained of a headache, keeping her eyes closed throughout.
The other accused individuals are also being brought to Shillong on a 7-day transit remand. Sonam allegedly plotted Raja’s murder due to her extramarital affair with Raj Kushwaha. The case has seen five arrests so far, with one suspect still at large.
