Shillong, Sept 7: Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar on Monday asserted that the National People’s Party (NPP) is united and working solely for development of Meghalaya.
Addressing a press conference at the Shillong Club today, Dhar dismissed speculations of rift within the party and said all leaders are working as a team under Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.
“NPP is united. We are working together for the development of the state. Our focus is development, nothing else,” Dhar said.
The Deputy CM said the government is pushing infrastructure, roads, water supply, health and power projects across the state and the results are visible on the ground.
He said the party will continue to work for the people of Meghalaya and will face the upcoming challenges together.
On alliance issues, he said NPP will take a call at the right time but at present the priority is governance and delivery.
Senior party leaders were present at the press conference.
