New Delhi, June 17: A NEET aspirant died by suicide in Delhi’s Palam area just days before the nationwide retest, once again spotlighting exam-related stress. The incident came to light early Wednesday.
Police said the girl took the NEET exam on May 3 and had been battling depression since the test was cancelled. She allegedly died by hanging on June 13 while her father was away at his in-laws’ home after a family bereavement.

A suicide note found at the spot detailed her emotional distress. She apologized to her parents and wrote that she could not live up to their aspirations.
