Dimapur (Nagaland), July 10: Dimapur Police on Friday , July 9 arrested a 33- year old married man identified as Izierangbe Yalia, resident of Bank Colony, here , for allegedly raping a 11 -year -old minor girl.
According to PRO, Dimpur Police (Crime), T. Relo Aye, the accused is the uncle of the victim.
He informed that the incident came to light when the victim was found bleeding non-stop since the first week of this month by her relative after which they took her to a hospital for medical check-up.
Since , the health condition of the victim was deteriorating, she was admitted to a hospital and the doctor on suspicion reported the matter to the police.
It was also informed that the relative of the victim had lodged an FIR at the police station on July 9 after which the aaccused was arrested and further investigations are on.
