Shillong ( Meghalaya ) , July 1 : Six more Covid patients succumbed to their infections and 577 new cases were reported on Thursday .
Among the new deaths two each were reported from West Khasi Hills and one each from South West Khasi Hills and East Khasi Hills .
The death toll so far in the state has gone up to 844.
According to data released by the Health department, 577 new cases were detected on Thursday with Ri Bhoi on the top with 260 cases followed by East Khasi Hills with 157 cases .

Today ,250 patients were also discharged after full recovery .
The active cases now stand at 4,537.
