Tura (Meghalaya), Dec 12 : In an effort to recover hidden weapons hidden by militants in the jungles of Durama range and based on specific inputs that some weapons were hidden at village Patalgre in Durama, East Garo Hills police sf 10 commandos Conducted search operation at Patalgre area lead by senior officers of the District on Friday .
At around 1.30 am police force recovered 5 nos of 7.65 mm automatic pistols suspected to be buried by GNLA militants .

The recovered weapons were rusted as they remained underground for a long period of time .
The weapons were sent to Williamnagar police station for further verification .
