Meghalaya becomes COVID- 19 free as the lone patient tests negative

Shillong (Meghalaya), May 18 : The lone patient of COVID-19 in Shillong was declared fully recovered after the final retest tested negative today.

With this apart from one death due to Covid -19 in the state all other patients who were infected have fully recovered and the state can be considered fully free from Covid -19.

Confirming this, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma tweeted at 1.34 pm today ,” Second Retest of the lone active case (positive patient) was done again, and the test has come out negative. The patient can be declared as recovered.
