Shillong ( Meghalaya), Oct 29 : Kong Spelity Lyngdoh Langrin of Domisiat is no more. She passed away yesterday night at 11.30pm.
Kong Spelity Lyngdoh Langrin – Matriarch of Domiasiat, refused to allow Uranium to be mined on her land.
She was also offered 45 Crore rupees for a 30 years lease of her land which she flatly refused .

She had said ,”Money cannot buy my Freedom.”
The government wanted to mine her land for uranium to feed the country’s growing energy needs but she firmly stood against it
