Shillong ( Meghalaya ), April 18 : The state recorded one more Covid 19 fatality and 73 fresh cases on Sunday.
According to official sources , Ms .Mebilda Bareh aged 74 years of Mawlai Nongkwar locality , was diagnosed with Covid-19 on April 7 last after being admitted to Dr H Gordon Roberts Hospital here .
She passed away on Friday afternoon of Covid pneumonia with acute respiratory distress.
Meanwhile , 73 fresh cases were detected today .
Among the new cases 36 are from East Khasi Hills 12 each from West Jaintia Hills and Ri Bhoi , 5 from West Garo Hills , 3 from West Khasi Hills, 2 each from East Jaintia Hills and South West Khasi Hills and 1 from East Garo Hills.
The state tally now stands at 14,871 with 630 active cases after recovery of of 14,038 patients and the death toll till now is 153 .
