Shillong (Meghalaya), June 9 : 4 more residents of the state tested Covid positive on Tuesday taking the total number of cases to 43 .
The Chief Minister , Conrad Sangma confirmed the cases stating while 3 of them had returned from Delhi and Chennai 1 was from Ri Bhoi district of the state .
With the 4 new cases the total number of active cases have gone up to 29 . 13 patients have recovered so far and the first detected patient expired .
Earlier in the day ,an elderly citizen who had come from Ri Bhoi District had tested positive for COViD19. The person was isolated on arrival and is presently in Shillong. The patient is stable and under supervision.
The Chief Minister tweeted on Tuesday evening , “Three more residents who returned to the State from Delhi and Chennai have tested positive for COVID19. All of them are under quarantine and are asymptomatic.”
