Shillong (Meghalaya), Sept 25 : 80 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Friday taking the total number of active cases in the state to 1,772 .
Among the new cases , 45 were reported from East Khasi Hills District which includes 44 general public and 1 from the Armed Forces ; West Garo Hills reported 20 new cases which includes 8 from the Armed Forces and 12 general public , North Garo Hills reported 9 new cases , Ri Bhoi district and South west Garo Hills reported 2 cases each while West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia Hills reported 1 case each .
