Shillong (Meghalaya), July 19 : 2 more deaths have been reported in Shillong taking the total number of deaths in the state to 4 .
Both the patients passed away at NEIGRHIMS here .
The first patients was a BSF personnel who was co-morbid and was suffering from hypertension and other complications .
The other victim was from Kolkata and was employed with GSI .
He was first admitted to hospital for gall bladder stones at Civil Hospital and later developed Covid symptoms and was accordingly shifted to NEIGRHIMS.
He tested positive for Covid but after treatment and 10 days later he was again put through RT-PCR test and tested negative .
He was transferred back to the ward but because his liver, kidneys, lungs were already damaged by Covid, he succumbed to the disease.
