Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 22 : 2 more Covid deaths were reported in Shillong today taking the death toll to 110 .
With this the death rate has risen to 0.97 percent in the state and to 1.31 percent in East Khasi Hills, which has so far recorded 91 of the deaths due to Covid-19 in the state.
The 2 patients who succumbed to their infections have been identified as Pramod Thakur and Albert Wann from Shillong .
Promod Thakur aged 46 years hailing from Madanrting area passed away due to pulmonary tuberculosis with Covid pneumonia and Type 2 diabetes on Friday evening at NEIGRIHMS, here while Albert Wann aged 33 years hailing from Umpling, had been admitted to NEIGRIHMS after suffering a fall and subsequently tested positive. He died on Friday evening due to raised intracranial pressure, subdural haematoma and Covid-19.
A total of 70 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Sunday which included , 45 from East Khasi Hills, 10 from West Garo Hills , 5 from South Garo Hills, 4 from South West Garo Hills , 3 from Ri Bhoi and 1 each from East Garo Hills, North Garo Hills and West Jaintia Hills .
A total of 99 patients were declared recovered today.
