Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 30 : One more Covid patient succumbed to her infections taking the death toll to 139 in the state.
According to official sources , the patient has been identified as Anita Blah aged 74 years hailing from Nongshilliang area of Malki in Shillong.
She was admitted to Woodland Hospital on Dec 24 and tested positive and passed away on Tuesday morning.
The cause of her death was lung carcinoma with Covid-19.
On Wednesday , 21 new cases were detected in the state which includes 16 from East Khasi Hills , 3 from West Garo Hills , and 1each from South West Garo and West Jaintia Hills .
A total of 19 patients were declared recovered today .
The state tally now stands at 13 , 408 with 184 active cases after a total of 13,083 patients recovering from the virus . The death toll stands at 139 .
