Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 31 : One more Covid patient succumbed to his infections taking the death toll in the state to 88.
The patient has been identified as Heavenstone Nongrum aged 83 years , of Riatsamthiah locality here . He was admitted to hospital on Oct 22 last and passed away on Friday .

Today , 70 new Covid cases were detected in the state taking the state tally to 9,452 which included 22 cases from East Khasi Hills , 17 from Ri Bhoi , 16 from West Garo Hills , 5 from East Garo Hills , 4 each from North Garo Hills and West Jaintia Hills and 1 each ftrom South Garo Hills and South West Khasi Hills .
A total of 220 patients were declared recovered today .
