Shillong ( Meghalaya), March 31 : The Congress member of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, Bajop Pyngrope today formally joined the National People’s Party (NPP).
Pyngrope was welcomed with open arms by the leaders of NPP at a function held at the NPP office here.

Pyngrope said he left the Congress party, as he was unable to tolerate the in-fighting within the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said that they are happy to welcome Bajop Pyngrope, MDC to the NPP family. The growing presence of NPP statewide will further strengthen the collective vision & mission of the people, CM added .
