Shillong ( Meghalaya), Dec 4 : As part of Meghalaya @50 & India @ 75 celebrations the Umngot River festival was held at Shnongpdeng Dawki on Friday .
The key highlights of the festival was Boat tableau swimming , water polo , boating competitions and traditional cultural programmes .
Meghalaya Home Minister L ,Rymbui was the Chief Guest at the festival and was also attended by FR Kharkongor ,Commissioner & Secretary Arts & Culture, Ms. M. War Nongbri , Director of Information and Public Relations and representatives of Arts& Culture Dept , Sports Dept , SDO( Civil ) Amlarem & village authorities.
