Shillong, Oct 6: Meghalaya is going global. The State’s 98,000 MSMEs will get direct access to international markets at the Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM 2.0) to be held on October 8-9 at the State Convention Centre, Shillong.
The Commerce & Industries Department is organizing the mega B2B meet under the RAMP initiative in partnership with FIEO.
22 confirmed foreign buyers from USA, UK, Canada, Netherlands, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Mauritius and others will sit face-to-face with local entrepreneurs, along with top domestic buyers.
On display will be Meghalaya’s best — honey, processed foods, handloom, black pottery, cane & bamboo craft, wood & stone carving, wellness and water hyacinth products.
Deputy CM Sniawbhalang Dhar will inaugurate the 2-day event on Oct 8, which will also feature a special MSME exhibition.
Commissioner & Secretary C.V.D. Diengdoh said RBSM 2.0 is a direct market bridge for local MSMEs to expand, get export orders and create jobs.
