Shillong ( Meghalaya ), Aug 20 : 232 new Covid cases were detected in the state and 4 patients succumbed to their infections in the last 24 hours .
According to official sources , 4 patients succumbed to their infections taking the death toll to 1,261 .
3 deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills while 1 case of death was reported from West Khasi Hills .
232 new cases were detected in the state of Friday with East Khasi Hills on the top with 128 cases .

A total of 276 patients were also discharged on Friday .
The active cases now stand at 3,373 .
