Shillong (Meghalaya), Jan 07 : Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Meghalaya conducted the state level declamation contest on “Patriotism and Nation Building” as part of Republic Day 2022 celebration at Meghalaya Bharat Scouts & Guides, Conference Hall here on Friday .
Out of 7 NYK Districts only 4 NYK Districts participated in the contest i.e from East Khasi Hills Represented by Ms Ibakordor Khriemmujat, West Khasi Hills represented by Ms Suzane L.Nonglait, West Jaintia Hills District represented by Ms Lakyntiewshisha Tang and Ri Bhoi District represented by Ms Melita Maring.
All contestants presented a speech on the topic which was judged by three experts from different departments. The winner of this contest will represent the state in the national level declamation contest to be held in January 2022 before Republic Day.
The winners of the state level are-Ms Lakyntiewshisha Tang from West Jaintia Hills, 1st position, Ms Ibakordor Khriemmujat from East Khasi Hills, 2nd position and Ms Melita Maring from Ribhoi District , 3rd position.
