Shillong (Meghalaya), July 30 : Drawing the curtains on the 20 th Annual Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association-India Region Zone III held here, a cultural evening entitled ‘Echoes from the Hills of Meghalaya ‘was today held at Raj Bhavan,.
The event was graced by the presence of Meghalaya Governor .Phagu Chauhan, Speakers and Deputy Speakers from all the Northeastern States, Cabinet Ministers, senior officials of the State Government and the Armed Forces and delegates of the 20 th Annual Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association-India Region Zone III.
The highlight of the evening was a captivating seamless performance showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of Meghalaya presented through traditional music, songs, dances and attire.
The programme was organized by the Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Northeast Zone.
