Shillong ( Meghalaya ), July 21 : The grim Covid situation in the state continues with 558 more Covid cases and 6 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours .
While 4 deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills , 1 each was reported Ri Bhoi and West Jaintia Hills .
The death toll so far in the state has gone up to 974 .

On Wednesday 558 cases were detected in the state with East Khasi Hills on the top with 192 cases followed by West Garo Hills with 140 cases and Ri Bhoi with 62 cases .
The active cases in the state now stand at 4221 after 375 patients were discharged today after recovery .
