Shillong ( Meghalaya ), Nov 17 : A book on Swami Vivekananda, “Swami Vivekananda and Shillong” was released at Shillong Press Club here this afternoon by teachers, professors, poets and writers.
The book has been authored and published by Smt Malabika Bisharad.
The book was released by poet Smt Daya Sharma, educationist , Smt Manikuntala Choudhury, Secretary Sarada Samiti Shillong Smt Sati Bhattacharjee, Secretary of AIPC Smt Minimom Laloo, writer Smt Manjushree Ghosh, Professor (Dr) Aparna Chakraborty along with the author .
The book contains account on ‘Swami Vivekananda’s visit to East Bengal and Shillong’, ‘Swami Vivekananda’s Everlasting Impact in Khasi – Jaintia Hills and Establishment of Ramakrishna Mission’ and ‘Initiatives taken to save the house at Laban locality where Swami Vivekananda spent a brief period .
Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj GS RKM, HQ Belur Math and Secretary RKM Shillong Swami Hitakamanandaji Maharaj have extended their gratitude and thanks to the writer.
