Shillong ( Meghalaya), July 29 : 14 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections and 731 new cases were detected in the state in the last 24 hours .
According to official sources , 14 more patients succumbed to their infections taking the death toll to 1062 .
7 deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills , 3 from Ri Bhoi , 2 from West Garo Hills and 1 each from South Garo Hills and West Jaintia Hills .

On Thursday ,731 new cases were detected in the state which included 204 from East Khasi Hills followed by 128 from West Garo Hills and 114 from Ri Bhoi .
423 patients were also discharged today and the active cases now stand at 5,750.
