Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 4 : 7 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in last 24 hours taking the death toll to 1125.
4 cases were reported from East Khasi Hills while 1 each was recorded from East Jaintia Hills, South West Garo Hills and South West Khasi Hills . All of them were non vaccinated .

According to official sources , 521 new cases were detected in the state on Wednesday with East Khasi Hills on the top with 238 cases .
With the recovery of 572 patients the active cases now stand at 5,516 .
