Shillong (Meghalaya), May 25 : A 5.4-magnitude earthquake, with epicenter in Manipur, rocked parts of Northeast at 08.12 pm this evening according to the meteorological office here .

The epicentre of the earthquake was at a depth of 40 km in Churachandpur district, Manipur. The latitude of the quake was at 24.4 degree north and longitude 93.7 degree east.
No loss of life or damage to property was reported from across the region .
