Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 13: A low density of 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck Meghalaya’s Tura on Sunday afternoon at 1.27 pm.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremor hit at 1. 27 pm and was 25. 84 latitude and 90.90 longitude and depth of 5 kms.
The epicenter of the earthquake was near Tura and was located 78 km ENE of Tura.
Official sources said there was no report of any loss of life or damage to property due to the tremor.
This is the second low density earthquake in the state in the past 7 days.
