Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 6 : 14 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,147.
8 deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills , 3 from Ri Bhoi , 2 from West Garo Hills and 1 case from West Jaintia Hills.

Out of the 14 deaths, 12 cases were non vaccinated .
According to health department , 515 new cases were detected in the state on Friday with East Khasi Hills on the top with 184 cases followed by West Khasi Hills with 132 cases .
560 patients were also discharged on Friday after full recovery .
The active cases now stand at 5, 515.
