Shillong, Aug 28 : Mawsynram Police on Wednesday busted an inter-state bike theft gang and recovered three suspected stolen motorbikes at Weiloi.
Police said they acted on reliable information that three bikes were being brought for sale at Weiloi. An ambush was laid and three persons from Tamulpur, Assam, were apprehended. A fourth accused escaped into the adjoining jungle and a manhunt is on.

The accused are in custody for verification. Assam Police has been alerted for further action.
The recovered vehicles are Yamaha R15 bearing registration AS-01-FV-4193, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 AS-25-Z-1346 and Yamaha R15 AS-27-F-1263.
