Shillong (Meghalaya), Feb 18: A resounding success marked the Tourism Education Expo and Dekho Apna Desh Brochure Contest Prize Distribution Ceremony, organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and India Tourism Shillong. Over 303 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya showcased their creativity, presenting the tourism potential of their districts.
The event, held at the Institute of Hotel Management, Shillong, saw participation from students across Meghalaya, highlighting the state’s rich cultural and natural heritage. Winners of the brochure-making competition were felicitated, and students also engaged in drawing and quiz contests.
The expo aimed to inspire young minds to explore and promote India’s heritage, while creating awareness about career opportunities in tourism and hospitality.
