Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 16: Shillong Lajong FC secured their second consecutive semi-final appearance in the Durand Cup by defeating Indian Navy FT 2-1 in a thrilling quarterfinal match.
The home team staged a remarkable comeback, with Damaitphang Lyngdoh scoring in the 69th minute and Everbrightson Sana Mylliempdah converting a penalty in the 79th minute.

Indian Navy FT had taken the lead to the match, with Vijay Marandi scoring in the 38th minute. However, Shillong Lajong FC’s determination and resilience paid off as they turned the game around in the second half.
