Shillong (Meghalaya ), May 1: On Sunday , April 30, 2023, troops of 100 Bn BSF Meghalaya apprehended 2 Bangladeshi nationals namely MD Habibullah (31 yrs) resident of district Netrakona and Md Jahangir Mia (35 yrs) resident of district- Noakhali, both from Bangladesh while roaming suspiciously inside Indian territory of West Garo Hills district in Meghalaya .
As per revelation made by the apprehended Bangladeshi nationals, one Bangladeshi tout namely Farukh resident of Sherpur, Bangladesh facilitated both of them to illegally enter the Indian territory.
He promised them to get job in India by paying in Bangladeshi takas and he would also arrange fake documents for them. Apprehended persons were handed over to PS- Purakahsia, West Garo hills for further legal formalities.
