Shillong (Meghalaya), Apr 24 : On Monday, April 24 2023, troops of 193 Bn BSF Meghalaya nabbed two Indian women with Bangladeshi currency of value 90,000 Taka while entering Indian Territory illegally from Bangladesh.
The apprehended women revealed their identities as Primala Hajong and Rimi Bhadra who are resident of Village Betgora PS- Danger, Dist- East Khasi Hills.

During questioning, both revealed that they entered Bangladesh through porous/ unfenced border and received BD Taka from a prominent Bangladeshi smuggler namely Hamid.
The seized Bangladeshi currency and apprehended women have been handed over to Danger Police Station in East Khasi Hills for further Investigation and legal action.
