Shillong ( Meghalaya), Apr 23 : Bihar Diwas was observed today under the banner of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat by BJP Unit of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat at BJP State Office, here in the presence of BJP State President, Ernest Mawrie, Office Bearers, State Executive members and other karyakartas along with the Bihari community in the spirit of brotherhood and unity.
Mawrie highlighted the achievements of the Bihari community and emphasized upon their contribution in nation building. Four achievers of the Bihari community along with huge number of the community were felicitated on this occasion. Poetry recitation and speech on the tradition and culture of Bihar by participants were the other highlight of the programme.
Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat is a Govt of India initiative launched by PM Narendra Modi on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas which is the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
This programme enhances and strengthens the bonding and understanding between citizens so that this understanding resonates in the entire country.
Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat encourages the sharing of best practices in the country which is so rich in its diversity.
