Kokrajhar(Assam),Sep 13: The Employment Review Committee of Assam Legislative Assembly have expressed it’s unhappiness for not following due protocol while receiving them during the committee members visit at Central Institute of Technology (CIT) today, Sep 13 at Kokrajhar.
A six member Employment Review Committee of Assam Legislative Assembly led by it’s chairman Lawrence Islary visited the NTPC Salakati and CIT Kokrajhar to review the employment opportunity generation in Kokrajhar .
The members included Rupak Sarma (Nagaon),Sibu Mishra (Lumding),Suresh Phukan (Tinsukia), Prithiraj Rabha (Tejpur) and Jayanta Basumatary (Sidli).
The review committee interacted with officials of NTPC and took stock of the prevailing employment environment inside the plant.
Presently, the NTPC power plant is producing 3 x 250 MW power services.
The committee also interacted with CIT officials during their visit and also held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner at DC office Kokrajhar where they discussed over the employment generations across the district.
Chairman of the committee and local MLA of Kokrajhar East Lawrence Islary and Nagaon MLA Rupak Sarma expressed their unhappiness over the reception shown to the MLAs delegation during their visit to CIT.
They said that the CIT authorities had full information about the delegation of the MLAs visit, yet they didn’t show any good gestures while receiving the MLA Employment Review Committee members.
“I am very much upset over the reception from the CIT authorities” Lawrence Islary said.
Sarma said that the CIT authorities didn’t follow the proper protocol while receiving the MLAs team at the CIT Kokrajhar today.
The team will be visiting Chirang and Bongaigaon districts on Tuesday.
