Imphal (Manipur), July 9 : COVID-19 caseload in Manipur crossed 75,000-mark on Friday with a single-day spike of 852 cases.
The state also recorded 10 deaths due to the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, pushing the fatality tally to 1,251.
The state health department reported 852 new cases today. With this, the state-wide caseload of the state reached 76,032. The recovery tally of the state to 68,171 or 89.40 per cent.
The worst affected Imphal West continued to contribute the highest number, 276 new coronavirus cases. Currently, the state has 6,610 active cases with 2,542 of them in home isolation.
On the other hand, 24,675 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered on Friday, taking the total number of doses people vaccinated so far in the state to 8,51,377. Of these, 7,59,195 were administered with the first doses and the remaining 92,182 with second doses, the health department reported.
