Shillong (Meghalaya),May 7 : Six more Covid -19 deaths were reported in the East Khasi Hills district of the state today taking the death toll so far to 199.
297 positive cases were reported today out of which 189 were from Shillong and its suburbs . Ri Bhoi district reported 58 cases , West Garo Hills 22, West Jaintia Hills 10, South West Garo Hills 9, West Khasi Hills 5 , North Garo Hills and East Garo Hills 4 each , East Jaintia Hills 3 and 1 each from South West Khasi Hills and South Garo Hills .

176 patients undergoing treatment also recovered from the virus on Friday .
The state tally has now gone up to 18, 927 with 2,466 active cases after recovery of 16, 262 patients . The death toll stands at 199.
