Guwahati (Assam) , May 6 : A total of 81 new cases were detected on Saturday so taking the total number of cases in the state to 2324.
Heath Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that out of the 81 frsh cases on Satueday ,40 are from Hojai, 9 from Dhemaji, 7 from Barpeta , 7 from Nagaon, 4 from Biswanath, 4 from Guwahati Airport , 3 from Sonitpur , 2 from Karbi Anglong , 2 from Tinsukia and 1 each from Morigaon, Dibrugarh and Lakhimpur .
Meanwhile, 38 more patients were discharged from various hospitals today after they tested negative for #COVID19 twice as per protocol .
With the discharge of 38 patients the number of total discharged patients stand at 547 . The total number of active cases as of now are 1770.
