Guwahati (Assam), May 19 : There has been no respite as far the number of Covid -19 cases are concerned in the state with six more persons testing positive for COVID-19 in the state with the figures mounting to 121.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, ” Six new #COVID19 + cases confirmed – 2 each from Jorhat and Golaghat and 1 each from Kokrajhar & Nagaon.One Jorhat patient had returned from Chennai, while other came from Darjeeling. All are in quarantine. Total – 121,” he added.
The patient from Chennai has been identified as 30-year-old Thaneswar Boro and 40-year-old Shalinee Mal who returned from Darjeeling .
The cases from Golaghat are of Babul Ali and Manowar Hussain and they were quarantined in Kaziranga quarantine centre .
