Imphal(Manipur) , May 19 : Two more positive cases for the novel corona virus were detected in Manipur today, taking the state tally to 7.
Both the cases have been detected at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal.
A 64-year-old woman and her 23 -year old hailing from Khongjal Village Phungyar of Kamjong District who returned to the state from Delhi were tested positive at RIMS here.
Both the Covid-19 patients were at IIIT Quarantine Centre for the past three days.
Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal authorities said that they are being shifted to COVID CARE CENTRE.
The duo had gone to Delhi for an eye operation of the mother and they returned to the state by Bus from Safdarjung on May 14 and reached the state on May 16.
All the 20 co- passengers of the bus have been identified. Contact tracing has been initiated and containment will be as per Covid -19 protocol.
