Guwahati(Assam), Mar 22 : A four-and-a-half year girl from Jorhat who had tested positive of Conona virus on Saturday has tested negative of Covid -19 , virus .
After the child and her family were admitted at an isolation ward in Jorhat Medical college a second round of test was conducted on the child’s samples were found to be negative, according to the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) in Dibrugarh district .
The first test at the Jorhat Medical College in Jorhat had confirmed the child to Corona virus positive .

“The 4-year-old child who was suspected of Covid-19 and tested in Jorhat Medical College and RMRC, Dibrugarh has been found NEGATIVE. There is no Covid-19 positive case in Assam so far,” Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted early this morning

“The girl, her sister and her mother came to Jorhat on March 19. Health workers visited the family on March 20 and brought them to Jorhat Medical College as the girl exhibited symptoms’, A PTI report said .
