Guwahati (Assam), Mar 21 : A four- and- a -half year old girl child from Assam’s Jorhat tested positive for Coronavirus making it the first report of Corona positive detection in Assam at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH).
According to sources , On March 19, the girl had come from Jharkhand with her family.
Her sample has been sent to Lahowal ICMR for a second confirmation test to confirm if she is Covid -19 positive.
Assam Health Minister , Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that the girl has tested positive for Corona Virus but only the second test at Lahowal ICMR Lab will confirm if she is Covid – 19 positive and the report is expected by midnight .
Meanwhile , the child and her entire family has been admitted to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital
