Kokrajhar (Assam), April 26: The National Liberation Front of Boroland (NLFB) has vowed for a Sovereign Bodoland (Udang Bodoland) for overall protection of the Bodo community.
In a press statement issued to the media on Monday, NLFB chairman B Bungtigwra said that the NLFB was formed for Sovereign Bodoland (Udang Bodoland) and accordingly the NLFB has decided to go for an armed struggle.
” Even though, the 3rd Bodo Accord (BTR accord) was signed on 27th January (2020) after a tripartite peace talks for solution of Bodo political issues, but couldn’t fulfil the hopes and aspiration of the Bodo people”,he said.
He said that several revolutionary leader and members are imprisoned in the jails since long and are severely harassed by the police and military forces in the region.
He has opined that the NLFB is for the protection of the Bodo community and building up of an integrated Bodo society.
“The NLFB has urged upon the ex NDFB members not to be involved with police as well security forces against the NLFB organisation and also appealed not to stand against the NLFB cadres and members”,he said adding that the NLFB has been created for full protection of the Bodo people.
“Let’s us die for Bodo nation, Let’s not the Bodo nation die for us”, the NLFB leader added.
