Kamrup Metro recorded 217 cases .
The new cases were detected after conducting 1,68,361 tests .

Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet said that the overall positivity percentage for the day was 1.53 % and the recovery rate stood at 95.19 % .
