Guwahati(Assam) , Aug 3 : There has been an alrming hike in the number of new Covid cases in the state in the past 24 hours .
All the new 2371 new Covid cases detected were out of 41958 tests conducted in last 24 hours which consisted of 414 cases from Kamrup Metro , 282 cases from Dibrugarh, 251 cases from Nagaon and 192 from Kamrup Rural .
The total number of cases in the state has gone upto 45,275 and the active cases stand at 12,779.
A total of 1044 patients were discharged from various hospitals after recovery on Monday while a total of 4 patients succumbed to their infections in the state .
Issuing a strict warning , Health Minister , HB Sarma tweeted ,”📌Alert ~ 2371 new #COVID19 cases detected out of 41958 tests conducted in last 24 hrs. Positivity rate~ 5.65%
