Baridua( Meghalaya ), June 17: In a bid to promote eco-friendly practices, students of the Botany Department at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM), have developed organic perfumes. Under the mentorship of Dr. Mautushi Das, Associate Professor, Department of Botany, USTM, Miss Archi Phukan, a student, successfully formulated a unique organic perfume.
The perfume captures the essence of Northeast India’s biodiversity, featuring earthy undertones, citrusy fragrance, and floral freshness. This innovative product reflects the region’s cultural heritage and aromatic richness.
