Shillong ( Meghalaya), Aug 27: Laitkor emerged victorious in their Shillong Premier League 2025 match against Mylliem, winning 3-1 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here. Freelyson Tariang’s brace, including goals in the 52nd and 76th minutes, along with Risuk Malngiang’s strike in the 71st minute, sealed the win for Laitkor. Wanbok Wahlang scored a late consolation goal for Mylliem in the 85th minute.
The match saw some exciting moments, with Rikmenlang Nongrum’s crucial run down the left flank setting up the first goal. Freelyson Tariang tapped in the cross to give Laitkor the lead. In the second goal, Freelyson’s clever flick and run around a defender created an opportunity for Risuk to score easily after the ball rebounded off the goalkeeper.
Despite Mylliem’s high-pressing game, Laitkor’s counter-attacking strategy paid off, and they scored their third goal during one such counterattack. With this win, Laitkor strengthened their position in the league, while Mylliem will look to regroup and bounce back in their next match.
