Shillong ( Meghalaya), June 28 : Renowned Sports organizer and administrator, Chiranjeev Choudhury passed away early this morning at his residence in Hatath Colony here.
Popularly known as Cheeru among friends and near ones , Chiranjeev was the former Secretary of Table Tennis Association on Meghalaya for many years and was instrumental in organizing a number of national level TT Championship in the pine city. He was also associated with the Meghalaya Olympic Association and All India Table Tennis Federation. He was also an active member of Shillong Club.
Mild – mannered and soft spoken, Chiranjeev stated his career as a banker and finally resigned to become a successful businessman.
His last rites were performed at Jhalupara Cremation Ground this afternoon.
