Shillong ( Meghalaya), July 16 : A 4.2 earthquake jolted Meghalaya on Sunday evening . Tremors were felt in Guwahati as well as parts of Northeast and Bangladesh.
The tremor hit at 7. 53 pm and was 25. 72 latitude and 91.36 longitude and depth of 10 kms and was localized at India – Bangladesh border.
The epicenter was located at 15 kms northeast of Nongstoin , West Khasi Hills in Meghalaya.
Official sources said there was no report of any loss of life or damage to property due to the tremor.
