Shillong ( Meghalaya ), April 5 : Hima Khad Ar Lyngdoh Confederation on Sports Arts & Culture today organized the festival “Shad Sajer” at Lum Nongrim Football Ground in Byrnihat which falls under Nongpoh Sirdarship Elaka Ri Bhoi District.
The purpose of this festive dance is to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the community handed down by the forefathers from one generation to the next.

The programme was attended by MLA of Umsning Constituency Jason S Mawlong, as Chief and MLA of Jirang Constituency, Sosthenes Sohtun as the Guest of Honour.
This traditional dance was enthusiastically performed by people from all walks of life including old men and children.
